Value for Life - Forgiveness
For Christians, and indeed people of other faiths or none,
Forgiveness is a value that cannot be underestimated. For
Christians it is the means for which damaged relationships are
restored. It is an act of will, motivated by love. Jesus Christ's death on a cross is the ultimate revelation of God's all forgiving love, and his sacrifice stands as a source of inspiration to forgive others, no matter what the cost.
In assemblies this half term we are focusing on what it means to forgive, how we can do it and what it feels like when we feel like we can't forgive. Please discuss with your children the art of being forgiving and the ability to move on and start again if we make mistakes in friendships.
