Every week we meet and do gardening.

We put on our welly boots and make sure that the school gardens are looked after. It is hard work and there is always lots to do. My favourite bit is planting the bulbs.

Mr Edwards was delighted but a little confused when he came into school on Monday morning. It seemed BJS had been visited by the ground force team! Digging and planting over 100 plants in the area next to the playground.

Meet some of the BJS Ground Force Team

"It was freezing cold and very hard work digging the hard ground. "

"I lost count of how many plants I planted, it felt like a million."

"I was very proud when it was mentioned in assembly."

"I can't wait until the box hedge grows."

"We must say thanks to the stationery shop for buying the hedge plants."

"Oh yeah, and thanks to the teachers for organising it."

"I love our new pupil, she is very quiet."

Do you want to become a Stronach’s Seedling, or a Cheshire’s Clipping, or be part of the Davies Diggers or the Suffle’s Sowing team or finally the Lewis Loppers? Then the gardening club is for you. There are lots of projects that need doing around the school and the gardening club are going to take these on single handily. Children will learn to plant seeds, tend to seedlings, plant flowers, dig and design flower beds, weed, prune, paint and enter competitions. So, so much to do! Just speak to a member of staff.
