HOME – SCHOOL AGREEMENT
At Bilton C of E Junior School we aim to work in partnership with parents and carers to enable each child to achieve his/her personal best.
Our School will try to:
Ensure that your child achieves his/her full potential as a valued member of the school community
Provide a broad and challenging curriculum to include the full range of National Curriculum subjects
Achieve high standards of work and behaviour through good relationships and developing a sense of responsibility
Keep you informed about the school through our weekly newsletter, our website (www.biltonjuniorschool.co.uk) and Open Evenings.
Keep you informed about your child’s progress at meetings in the Autumn and Spring Terms and in a written report near the end of the Summer Term
As a Parent/Carer I will try to:
Make sure my child arrives at school on time - no earlier than 8.40 - no later than 8.50
Make sure my child attends school regularly and leave a telephone message with the office before 10.00am if my child is absent- telephone number: 01788 810675
Support my child with home reading and other homework activities
Make sure my child is properly equipped and appropriately dressed for school e.g. labelled PE kit to be kept in school Monday – Friday in a small PE bag, labelled school uniform, sensible comfortable shoes, a pencil case with sharp pencils and pencil crayons, a ruler and blue handwriting pen
Attend meetings in the Autumn and Spring Terms to discuss my child’s progress
Expect high standards of behaviour from my child throughout the school day and support the school’s behaviour policy
As a Pupil at Bilton Junior School I will try to:
Bring the equipment I need every day ( PE kit, reading book, pencils and pencil case)
Wear our school uniform and be tidy in appearance
Move quietly, sensibly and calmly around school
Be polite, courteous and friendly to everybody in school
Work hard to learn and do my best with school work and homework tasks
Be responsible, honest and trustworthy
Do as I am told by adults in the school community for the good of the whole school community
Keep the school free from litter
