Our Mission Statement

We are a Church of England Voluntary Controlled School. This means the school has a Church of England interest, with representatives from St. Mark’s church on the Governing Body but is state controlled. We are proud of our Mission Statement and believe it is the foundation for the high quality education we provide at BJS.

At Bilton C of E Junior School we aim to work in partnership with parents and carers to enable each child to achieve his/her personal best. In our Mission Statement we summarise our values as follows: Welcome, within the stated Admissions Policy, all children from the local community and beyond, who wish to attend a Church School.
To build Christian values and concerns into the ethos and teaching, having sensitivity to differences and respect for the faith of others.

To create excellence in all aspects of school life. To create a place of teaching and discovery in which the disciplines of learning and acquiring skills reflect our Christian ethos.
To promote concern, respect and unselfish regard for others.
To encourage children to be self-disciplined, well organised and have positive attitudes to learning.
To give priority in budget considerations to the health, safety and welfare of children and staff.
