Welcome to Year 4

Year 4 is an exciting and important year for pupils, in which we aim to build on the children’s growing confidence having completed a year at BJS.

Our learning is centred on a topic for each term or half term and we regularly organise trips, visitors and events in school which support these topics and inspire children in their learning. Our trips include Lunt Fort, Rugby Museum, Oakham Castle and Cadbury World.

The topics covered in Year 4 are Volcanoes and Earthquakes, the Romans, Rivers and the Water Cycle, Crime and Punishment, the Mayans and where food comes from.

As a year 4 staff we are always looking to provide the very best learning experiences for your children and warmly invite you to contact us where you feel you could help contribute towards this.
