Year 3

Welcome to Year 3

Year 3 is an important year as pupils join us at Bilton Junior School.  In Year 3, we aim to make this transition as enjoyable and worry-free as possible. We focus on developing confident and happy learners who are equipped with the independence and skills needed to make the most of their learning.

During Year 3 our topics include Why are Rainforests important? Stone Age to Iron Age, Local History, Who Lives in Antarctica? Ancient Egypt and Are All Settlements the Same? We regularly go on trips or have visitors and events in school to inspire the learning in our cross curricular topics.  All trips are linked to our topics.  This year we plan to visit The Herbert Gallery, Coventry and New Walk Museum, Leicester.

As a Year 3 staff we are always looking to provide the very best learning experiences for your children and warmly invite you to contact us where you feel you could help contribute towards this.
