Pupil Leadership
Pupil Leadership at BJS
At Bilton Church of England Junior School, we believe that every child has the potential to be a leader and make a positive difference. Our pupil leadership opportunities are an important part of school life, giving children a voice, a sense of responsibility and the chance to contribute to our school community. Through roles including our Junior Leadership Team (JLT), School Science Council, Online Rangers, Worship Leads, Reading Ambassadors, House Captains, Music Ambassadors, Energy Monitors, Happiness Heroes, Eco Warriors and Sports Captains, children are encouraged to share ideas, take initiative, represent their peers and help shape the future of BJS. These opportunities enable pupils to develop essential life skills such as communication, teamwork, independence, problem-solving and resilience, while putting our Christian values into action. We want our children to understand that leadership is not simply about having a title, but about listening to others, showing kindness, taking responsibility and leading by example. Guided by our school vision, Inspire, Challenge, Achieve, we aim to empower pupils to become confident, compassionate and responsible young people who recognise that their voices matter and that even the smallest actions can make a big difference.
