Geography
From our local community in Rugby to the diverse landscapes and cultures of the wider world, Geography at BJS encourages children to explore, question and understand the planet we share. Our curriculum inspires pupils to become curious geographers who develop a strong sense of place and an appreciation of the relationship between people and their environments. Children investigate physical and human geographical features, discover how landscapes and communities change over time, and explore important global issues such as sustainability, climate and the responsible use of natural resources. Through maps, fieldwork, geographical enquiry and opportunities to interpret information, pupils develop the practical skills needed to investigate the world around them. We encourage children to consider different perspectives, recognise the interconnectedness of our world and understand the impact of human choices on the environment. By nurturing curiosity, environmental awareness and a sense of responsibility, we hope to inspire our pupils to become informed, compassionate global citizens who are motivated to care for God's wonderful world.
