RE
As a Church of England school, Religious Education has a special place at the heart of life at Bilton Junior School. Our RE curriculum encourages children to explore life's big questions, reflect on their own beliefs and values, and develop a thoughtful understanding of Christianity and other world religions and worldviews. Through enquiry, discussion, reflection and opportunities to explore sacred texts, traditions and practices, pupils learn about the ways in which faith and belief influence individuals, communities and the wider world. We create a respectful and inclusive environment where children feel confident to ask questions, express their views and listen carefully to the perspectives of others. Our Christian values of Care, Honesty, Respect, Cooperation, Forgiveness and Resilience help shape our approach, encouraging compassion, understanding and a genuine appreciation of diversity. We want RE to inspire curiosity, deepen spiritual and moral awareness, and support every child in developing their own sense of identity, belonging and responsibility. Above all, we aim to equip pupils with the understanding and respect needed to flourish in a diverse and ever-changing world.
Parents and carers have the right to withdraw their child from all or part of RE.
